We installed these wonderful slatted acoustic panels in Bradfield College Music Theatre, along with the ceiling panes. The surface is important in this space for sound and acoustic delivery. The slats allows the sound waves to enter the gap and be absorbed. A deeper air gap will generally provide better sound absorption.
